On Sunday we make the short trip, (now slightly longer since the road collapsed) to Stonebridge Road for our local derby clash with Ebbsfleet.
This could be a feisty encounter following our 1-1 draw in October, after conceding a gut wrenching late equaliser scored by ex-WSL player Charley Clifford.
For 70 minutes it was 10 v 12. Yes, the referee really was that bad. He was bloody useless. His decision making was awful and two big calls in particular cost us the game.
Jo Woodgates was sent off for allegedly reacting to an opponent who stamped on her and she had the marks to prove it. If that was a red card then both players should have gone for an early bath. And if that wasn't bad enough we had a perfectly good goal disallowed. Why? Because the referee simply didn't understand the rules.
So I'm sure our girls will be right up for this one. Not that they never are.
Hopefully there'll be a healthy crowd in attendance. Ebbsfleet have dramatically slashed their ticket prices. Entry is £1 for all.
Also, for anyone attending the Barnet v Fleet game on Saturday entry will be free providing they still have their ticket from the day before. It sounds like a nice gesture by the club to soften the blow of another anticipated defeat in the National League.
