A dominant first half display saw us through to the next round of the Isthmian League Cup.
After a bright opening by the Darts it was the visitors, looking to bounce back from their 2-0 league defeat to Actonians on Sunday, who opened the scoring.
It proved a temporary blip in a half in which our girls tore the National League South East side apart.
The equaliser arrived minutes later. On 16 minutes Emily Woodhouse had a shot cleared of the line.
17 mins her cross found Emily Vaughan whose well executed and timely header was right out of the Women's Super League. Arsenal and England international Alessia Russo would have been proud of that one!
Vaughany had an absolute blinder this evening.
33 mins she unleashed an unstoppable shot to take the lead 2-1.
38mins Shauni Griffiths saw her thunderous shot somehow saved by the keeper, who made a clearance like an outfield player off the goal line. Two minutes later the first half hat trick was complete with Woodhouse the provider again for Vaughan, knocking it past the keeper from the six yard box.
44 mins Poppy Payne found Shauni who fired home to make it 4 and virtually game over.
The second half was a bit scrappy with London Seaward desperately trying to find a way back into the match.
On 58 minutes Vaughany's excellent strike came off the underside of the bar and I thought the ball had landed beyond the line. Or maybe it was just me mentally willing it to go in. The linesman was probably better placed than I was.
There was still one more goal to come though.
Amy Russ, who worked hard all evening, wasn't going to be denied seeing her name on the score sheet and in the 84th minute the game was well and truly put to bed. Amy's first touch was excellent then bang! 5-1. Goodnight Seaward.
Everyone had a good game this evening. But it wasn't difficult to nominate my player of the match.
